Ragan’s Heating & Air--we highly recommend John Ragan. He replaced our old HVAC gas pack (AC & heating) with a new HVAC gas pack. John inspected the old unit and duct work. His inspection before he provided an estimate found problems with the flexible ductwork. John said he would be able to amend the placement of the flexible ducts (they were crimped) so that the airflow would be ‘significantly increased.’ He also recommended that we remove our evaporative cooler, even though for 4 months out of the year, we enjoy the cool humidity. John explained how vap coolers rob airflow from HVAC units and the coolers pump allergenic spores into household air. After he did the inspection, John went back to his office to produce a comprehensive report with a software product that provides data based on what he input: exterior wall material, windows, square footage and expected load ranges with heating and cooling loads. Pretty cool info. When we discussed the options for what unit we would be interested in, John suggested and provided the information in a comprehensive proposal that listed all items and actions he would take, including the steps taken to improve the ductwork flow, any fabrication necessary, removal of the old units (HVAC and vap cooler) and delivery and installation of the new unit. Ragan also guarantees his work for two years and completed the manufacturer’s warranty for a ten-year period. John is knowledgeable and readily answers questions and provides information to the customer. He provides a link to photos of the project so you can see what it looked like before, during and after installation. Perhaps the biggest thing that would be easy to overlook: John is personable, with an easy going ‘git ‘er done’ attitude. He and his crew were efficient and competent. We can’t say enough good things about his work and how he works. Informative. Competent. Efficient. He gets a 10 out of 10 for us.
